European Maritime Day 2023

The European Maritime Day (EMD) is the annual two-day event during which Europe’s maritime community meet to network, discuss and outline joint action on maritime affairs and sustainable blue economy.

The 2023 edition of the European Maritime Day took place in Brest, France, on 24-25 May as physical event.

CIRCALGAE project was there by sharing a stand with the SEAMARK project in the exhibition hall, in order to give visibility to both projects. We had the possibility to explain both projects to visitors.

Furthermore, CIRCALGAE was presented by Antonio Martínez Abad (IATA-CSIC) during a workshop organized by EU4ALGAE (“EU4ALGAE roadshow”). Sister projects as REALM and SEAMARK were also presented.

Algae was one of the main subject of these EMD as several pitches and workshops were organized on this topic such as “the Macro algae sector in France is structuring its path” and “EU support to the algae sector” during which CIRCALGAE project was also named.

Thank you to Antonio from CSIC-IATA and Ronan from CEVA and Isabelle from AQUIMER to have been there to represent CIRCALGAE project!
