CIRCALGAE will create synergies between complementary Horizon Europe projects to collaborate and move forward together.
The 2 projects SeaMark and REALM are working on the algae theme, particularly on the optimization of cultivation, the algae valorization and the market acceptance of algae based-new products. Together, we will exchange on our progress and good practices.
SeaMark will demonstrate how to scale up innovative seaweed cultivation and processing into price-competitive product applications making the entire supply chain attractive for commercial investments. The SeaMark consortium comprises 25 multi-disciplinary experts.
REALM will develop a novel, cost-effective and sustainable system to cultivate microalgae. To achieve this we reuse wastewater from soilless greenhouses, apply the continuous production mode at industrial scale and use renewable energy. Our innovative cultivation system will be applicable in all European countries. The REALM consortium comprises 16 multi-disciplinary experts.
